Cast on 61 sts.

Rows 1, 3, 5, 7: Knit.

Rows 2, 4, 6, 8: Purl.

Row 9: (the magic button row) K29, (yo, k1)2x in the next 3 sts. (Turn, purl 12, turn knit 12)3x, turn, (p2tog)6x, turn, (k2tog)3x, then knit across the rest of the row on the remaining stitches.

Row 10: Purl 29, (p1-b)3x, purl 29.

Row 11: Knit.

All remaining even rows: Purl.

Row 13: *(K1, m1)* across, ending with k1.

Rows, 15, 17, 19, 21: Knit.

Row 23: (k2tog2x, pass first st over the second st on the right-hand needle, (bind-off maneuverer), *k2tog, pass previous st over* across, ending k1, pass previous st over. End off, leaving a tail for sewing.

You should have a knitted piece looking like the scan below:

Now sew the two edges together, forming a circle. Weave in all ends.

Take a short bit of the yarn, weave in the needle like shown below. In at the top, out and in just above the button, out and in just below the button:

Then take the two ends of the yarn and tie together in a knot. Weave in ends. Then grab the bottom where the edges were sewn together and the area where the "magic button" is and give a little "pull". You can "fluff" and position the hoo-hoo into a shape like those shown at the beginning of the pattern.

Pin on and where proudly. Will anyone know what it exactly is? I doubt it… *vbeg*
